Subduer

The Subduer is the only Monstrosity shown with a ranged weapon, it has a net gun with unknown rules but that may work as the buccaneers net:

Warden

The Warden is the 2nd big Monstrosity spoiled, its the one from the Machanisms league art with the clamps. It lacks the raw hitting power of the Wrecker, but appears to have counter slam and hard head as special abilities:

Wrecker

The Wrecker is one of the spoiled Heavy Monstrosities, it has two reach flails as its weapons and will probably see a great deal of play as the big hitter in the force:

Cephalyx Overlords

The Overlords are the 2nd existing unit that will find a home here, they are a three man magical support unit with some decent tricks and abilities. They work well with the Mind slavers, helping to create more Drudges and kill hidden targets with that awesome spray attack!

Cephalyx Mind Slavers

The oft maligned Mind Slavers are an existing unit found in the Cryx book currently, but are sure to get a reprint or inclusion in the Cephalyx book. To me their biggest problem is the Mechanithralls and surgeon, who in Cryx are a better tarpit unit and will always overshadow them, but hopefully they will come into their own and shine in this contract.

Cephalyx Mind Bender

The Mind Bender is the first new unit of Cephalyx troops. Like the existing Mind Slaver unit, it consists of a Cephalax leader surrounded by Drudges, except it this case the Drudges are to be used as Arc Nodes for the Mind Benders powerful spells but at the cost of removing the Drudge from play... meaning he cant be regenerated by a friendly ability or leaving a token for souls etc

Cephalyx Dominator

The Dominator is an interesting Solo, he works as a unit attachment for Mercenary units to bring them into the contract. He apparently buffs up the unit greatly but his death will have adverse effects on their fighting ability.

Cephalyx Agitator

The Agitator is a new solo for the Contract, very little is known so far except that he can buff friendly Cephalyx models, presumably within his command range, with +2 attack and +2 damage rolls:

This is going to be an awesome model for the list, the buff drags the Drudges up from meh to good with stats capable of doing decent damage to the enemy... and think of what those Monstrosities will be able to do at effective MAT7 and the Wrecker at effective PS19 on his reach flails haha

Monstrosities

Monstrosities are what the Cephalyx use instead of warjacks... Massive meat hulk slaves, mind wiped and totally subservient to the will of their masters:

Three heavy monstrosities have been shown so far, and a couple of the stat cards previewed. Only the fronts are known, showing the stats and massive damage grid... 36 boxes is great, DEF10 and ARM17 aren't the best tho, hopefully there will be some protective tech available from either the caster or one of the solos!

Exulon Thexus

Exulon Thexus is the first Warcaster for the Cephalyx Mercenary Pact:

Plenty of shots of the new model were shown in the spoilers vid and he looks awesome! Properly full of threat and menace haha.

These next two slides show all that is known about Exulon's stats and abilities. A fair amount can be inferred from even this limited  info: Arc Node as a field marshall ability perhaps, telekinesis is known but influence is widely believed to be another spell! The Feat sounds very interesting... my take on it is that its telekinesis but affecting all enemies in his control area haha

Welcome

Greetings!

Welcome to my new blog! This blog will cover the progress of my Cephalyx force for Warmachine, starting with the humble beginnings of the recent spoilers from the TempleCon keynotes speech through the start of my own miniatures with battle reports and tactical articles... which hopefully will be of some use haha

The early posts will be devoted to covering the information known on the upcoming models whilst I get to the point where I can assemble and paint all the shinies
